About IP Addresses
Gravity Bureau collects IP addresses during site visit. We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, advertising, making your visit more enjoyable and making sure everyone complies with the rules.
So what is an IP address? An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're connected to a network or connected to the Internet. When guests request pages from Gravity Bureau, our web servers log the guests' IP addresses. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. All this means is that the userís session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us unless issues of security or law arise, in which case IP addresses may be turned over to local, state/provincial and national/international authorities.
Links to Other Web Sites
Users should be aware that when they are on the Gravity Bureau web sites they could be directed to other sites that are beyond Gravity Bureau's control. There are links to other sites from Gravity Bureau that take users outside our service. For example, if the user "clicks" on a banner advertisement, the "click" takes the user off the Gravity Bureau or Vila site. This includes links from advertisers, sponsors and partners that may use Gravity Bureauís logo as part of a co-branding agreement. Other members may post links as well. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data or solicit personal information. Users should be aware of which web sites they end up on. Users should also keep in mind that whenever they give out personal information online (ex. via message boards or chat), that information can be collected and used by strangers. While Gravity Bureau strives to protect its users' personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information the users disclose online and they do so at their own risk. Please use common sense.
The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our guests is of greatest concern to us. We exercise great care in providing secure transmission of user information from user's PC to our servers. Only those employees who need access to user information in order to do their jobs are allowed access, each having signed nondisclosure agreements, which provides explicit legal confidentiality protections. Any employee who violates our privacy and/or security policies is subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination and civil and/or criminal prosecution!
